For the last few months I have been feeling very fashion frumpy. I didn't realize Oprah had coined a phrase "shlumpadinka". I'm a little suprised I hadn't heard this term before because I am usually so 'up' on Oprah slang.
I had been reading about organizing (big suprise) your day by planning the night before. Lunches, clothing for the next day (which) I always do this for the kids but of course completely ignore myself. Each morning that I drop Aiden off at preschool I throw on a pair of sweats and have crazy bed head and feel like such a "shlumpadinka" around the other moms. My excuse is that I can't shower until Amelia goes down for her morning nap. My uber practical/efficient husband said "you could totally shower with Amelia in the bathroom." I hate to admit he was right. Now I shower before school as Amelia unloads the entire contents of our bathroom cabinets (nothing toxic Erin!) And I have to admit it's pretty easy. Yesterday we pulled up to Aiden's school 15 minutes early and I was showered and dressed for the day. Now I just need to get the clothing situation sorted out. If you click on the title of this post it's a link to Oprah's episode on shlumpadinka's. There is lots of great advice and resources if you're stuck in a rut too!

Funny how we look at ourselves. I always wish I could look more like you, wash and go hair and still look amazing! I would of never guessed you would feel uncomfortable.
