I found these recipes last week while visiting my in laws and decided to finally jump on the bbq rub bandwagon. I just rubbed it on the meat a few hours before grilling and put the meat in the refrigerator.
for chicken:
equal amounts
paprika (I used smoked paprika) brown sugar, salt and pepper
(I used a teaspoon of each and that was enough for 4 chicken breasts)
for steak
equal amounts of espresso powder, chipotle chili powder, brown sugar, salt and pepper
(I used a tbsp of each for 8 steaks)
