library field trip

Amelia's class went to the library last week. After story time Amelia wanted to find a quiet place to read her book. We settled on only taking eleven books home that day (she is a tough negotiator) including her first chapter book. I think Junie B. Jones is a new favorite around here.. On the down side she wants the entire chapter book read in one setting. Instant gratification, I wonder where she gets that from?

famiy birthday party

This year we celebrated Aiden, Ethan and Amelia's birthday in one party. I made one cake for all three kids and it was a little bit big. I stacked the cake 5 layers high without splitting the cakes and we needed to use dinner plates to serve it. I really need to step away from the baking thing because it just isn't my thing. The kids loved to spend time with their cousins and family. Of course opening a few presents wasn't too bad either.....
* Amelia wouldn't get near the cake once the sparkler was lit, I think we've found the first thing lil Miss Fearless is afraid of!
