disney on ice

Amelia and I along with some friends went to Everett last night to see Disney on Ice. Quite the girly experience that almost left me wanting to return to Disneyland.

pumpkin patch field trip

Amelia had her first field trip on the school bus. Out to Stoney Ridge we went. Unfortunately, our beautiful fall weather had disappeared and was replaced by drizzly rain and chilly temperatures. The kids did learn a lot about apples and pumpkins and went on a hay ride to pick their own little pumpkin.

Amelia started fall soccer this year and loves it. She has a little fire inside her that makes her follow that ball up and down the field each week. Very fun to watch!

hip hop dancer

Amelia is doing tap/hip hop this year and loves it. We were treated to a end of month performance to their newest hip hop routine!

open house 2012

The kids had their school  open house in September. It was the first time we had both kids under one school roof. Very nice. Aiden did a music perfromance with his fellow fourth graders and then it was on to tour the classrooms.

My Mom bought Amelia a cake pop maker this summer. They spent a Wednesday afternoon wrestling the candy melts and sprinkles for their very first edition of red vlevet cake pops.

kindergarten!

Amelia started kindergarten on Friday! She is so excited to be going to school all day. Daddy was able to come home to walk Amelia to her first day of school and wave good bye to our baby girl. Amelia loves her teacher and most sentences start with" Mrs. Potter said..." She is so excited to make new friends, eat lunch in the cafeteria and play with her friends on the playground. When I asked Amelia what her favorite part of school was she replied "recess!' She was a little disappointed that she didn't learn to read on the first day but maybe that will happen on Monday?

jeapers leapers 2012

Amelia did another session of dance camp this summer. This time she was old enough to move to the next level of K-3rd graders. She loved going every day! It was a fun Narnia theme that we were able to watch her camp performance last Friday. She is signed up for tap/hip hop this fall with her most favorite teacher.
